For over 25 years, Dr’s Choice Optical Lab has been an independent, family-owned business that offers personalized, high-quality premium eyeglass lenses to eye care professionals and optical retailers. Our products are manufactured locally in the Bay of Quinte region of Ontario.
From our humble beginnings as an in-house optical lab, we have expanded over the past two decades into a full-service, wholesale optical lab with customers all over Canada. As we have grown, we have maintained our philosophy of continuous improvement, reinvesting in our business to maintain our competitive edge.

Fully digital surfacing lab, producing lenses with the highest degree of accuracy and fully customizable corridor lengths
A state-of-the-art anti-reflection coating facility providing custom hydrophobic, oleophobic, and anti-static AR coatings, as well as specialized blue blocker and mirror coatings
Enhanced edging equipment to ensure every lens will fit perfectly in its frame

Tom Aquino
As owner of one of Ontario’s only independent optical labs, Tom Aquino knows how to succeed as an entrepreneur in a specialized field. For over 25 years Tom has pursued his vision to transform the lens manufacturing industry, continuously upgrading his business to always provide the best quality lenses to his customers. He is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys spending time at the cottage and with family.

Kyle Aquino
Kyle Aquino first joined the business in 2007 working part time over the summer. He is now Vice President at Dr’s Choice Optical Lab, representing the second generation of the company, with a vision to expand to customers across the province. He holds a Business Degree from Loyalist College which he completed in 2017. He is an active volunteer in the community and serves as a volunteer firefighter with Station 5. He enjoys exploring nature and spending time with his wife, their kids, and their two dogs.
